Spent the week of July 20-27 in OC with 4 days of flounder fishing on board my new pontoon boat the “Net Flounders” (you’ll understand if you are a Simpsons fan).

All told we boated maybe 50 flounder, a single blue and several kingfish (long time since I caught any in the bays behind OC) but no sea bass or sea robins which I thought was odd.

Took at least 1 keeper every trip with a total of 6 on minnows…16, 16.5, 17, 17.5 18 and 20″. Most caught behind Assateague and a couple near the entrance to Harbour Island.

Water was VERY cold (61-64) and Thursday we had winds at 20-25mph…funny, but we took 30 fish and 3 keepers that day too.

Attached is a photo of my son Steve with the biggest (20″) of the week.
